Today's post is a review of a make up item that's out of this world, i.e. APOCALIPS lip lacquer by Rimmel. It combines the intense colour of a lipstick, the shine of a lipgloss and the long-lasting formula of a lipstain, all contained in a little black strangely-shaped container.
Po raz pierwszy natrafiłam na APOCALIPS kilka tygodni temu i od razu wywarł na mnie niesamowite wrażenie. Po nałożeniu testera na rękę byłam zachwycona intensywną barwą lakieru. Później okazało się, że tak samo pięknie wygląda na ustach, pokrywając je gładką, połyskliwą warstwą koloru. Mam w swojej kolekcji pięć spośród siedmiu dostępnych odcieni:
- Apocaliptic - intensywna fuksja, głęboki chłodny róż, mój ulubiony;
- Out of this World - indyjska róża z drobinkami brokatu;
- Stellar - klasyczna krwista czerwień;
- Phenomenon - lekko różowy nude w stylu J. Lo;
- Nude Eclipse - beżowy nude.
I came across APOCALIPS a couple of weeks ago and it immediately made a huge impression on me. Just by swatching it on my hand, I was amazed with the intense colour of the lacquer. Afterwards it turned out that it looks as beautiful on my lips as on my hand, covering them with a smooth shining layer. I have five out of seven available shades in my collection:
- Apocaliptic - intense fuchsia, deep pink with cold undertones, definitely my favourite;
- Out of this World - Indian rose with tiny shiny particles;
- Stellar - classic red;
- Phenomenon - pinkish nude, very J.Lo;
- Nude Eclipse - beige nude.

Kosmetyk ma przyjemną, nieklejącą się konsystencję i delikatny zapach. Aplikator ze specjalnym zbiorniczkiem pozwala na łatwe i precyzyjne nakładanie lakieru. Nie wysusza ust, czego obawiałam się na początku. Lakiery są wyjątkowo trwałe i długo utrzymują się na ustach, co sprawdziłam w ekstremalnych warunkach dziennych i nocnych ;-) Aby uzyskać najlepszy efekt, polecam najpierw nawilżyć usta pomadką, potem nałożyć pierwszą warstwę koloru, następnie usunąć nadmiar "przygryzając" chusteczkę higieniczną i dopiero nałożyć ostatecznie kosmetyk.
Dodatkową zaletę stanowi cena, udało mi się kupić APOCALIPS za ok. 23 zł.
Jedynym zastrzeżeniem może być wydajność, gdyż płynna konsystencja sprawia, że opakowanie 5.5 ml może nie wystarczać na zbyt długo, ale będę mogła to stwierdzić dopiero za jakiś czas.
The laqcuer has pleasent non-sticky texture and delicate scent. The shape of the applicator makes it easy to use with high precision. The cosmetic does not make the lips dry which I was afraid of in the beginning. The lacquers are very long-lasting which has been proved in extreme day and night conditions ;-) To achive the best effect I suggest moisturising your lips with a balm first, after that apply the first layer, remove the excess with a paper tissue and finally apply the second layer of colour.
Another plus is the price of the product. I bought it for about 5 Euro.
The only objection I may have is the amount of product in a 5.5 ml container. I am afraid that it may not last too long because of its liquid consistency but I will only be able to tell that after using it for some time.
Podsumowując, lakier do ust Rimmel APOCALIPS ma piękne i intensywne kolory, połysk błyszczyka oraz lekką, długotrwałą konsystencję. Świetna jakość w bardzo przystępnej cenie. Zdecydowanie polecam :-)
To sum up, the APOCALIPS lip lacquer by Rimmel comes in beautiful intense colours, it has the shine of a lipgloss and light long-lasting formula. Great quality for a very affordable price. I definitely recommend this product :-)
